Hi,

am i doing something wrong? i encoded a 20 min divx which worked out at 22mb, and the audio loses sync, more or less straight away, even more so in full screen mode.
Any ideas?

If you are encoding with VirtualDub then don't enter the frame rate as 10fps, just enter 3 for "Decimate by" if the source is 30fps or 2.5 for 25fps etc.

i have the same problem , it's not just a question of decimation ,

for example i have a videoclip wich ALWAYS loose sync (video slows down) if the framerate is over 3fps , too many movement i think , it uses too much ressources at 10fps <_<

the only solution is : decimate by more!

moviepark need some optimisation :D
what's the CPU speed with movie park ?

I know if the screen is busy with alot of images in full screen mode moving around quickly ...it will slow down and be out of synch. Also if you are using virtualdub and the original frame rate is 29.95 and no lower, then type in the framerate change to "10" then select the "change so video and audio durations match" that means the frame rate change to 10 should be UNSELECTED, BUT 10 should still appear in the entry box. Finally "process every third frame, (decimate by 3).. and this should work.

If your frame rate is 24 fps or a little lower....DON'T Decimate by 3 or even change the framerate. Just Decimate by 2. This should put the movie in 12 fps and this file can be used in normal viewing mode without lag. Moviepark can't handle anything over 12fps (that I am aware of)

I tried 15fps..and it lags in all viewing modes....good luck
Also which file are you trying to convert..(name of movie)
SOme high action movies have a natural framerate loss to them...example Star Wars Ep2. but the synching still catches up when playing during a normal action sequence :)
