If so, would someone be so kind as to e-mail it to me? telcoloo@hotmail.com

Or should I just send him an e-mail, requesting to be on his mailing list?

(is it the same addy used for donations?)

Im not sure but since it is a 'private' beta then normally you should have been on the mailing list to receive it...
subscribe to it and that all...

see you :lol:

How, exactly? I don't see a 'mailing list' link on his website, or even an e-mail address ...

I sent him a paypal donation to rlyeh@emulnation.info ... is this where I should 'sign up' ?

i have the latest private beta and its much better than the beta of retrodev. it has got much less bugs, animated savestates, and better speed. rlyeh is working on sound

Cool - hopefully he'll send out one to the mailing list soon, but if not - well, I can wait a little while :)

i have it. it has sound but games are hardly playable with it enabled, btw animated savestates are psyche!

I signed up to the mailing list and had a look through the archives. I found the latest betas but they're in text format. Tried copying the text to notepad and saving as an fxe but it didn't work. So how do I tunr the text encoded fxe into a usable file?

For me, the games are perfectly playable, it's just the sound either works, or spews out a fwe instruments. The animated saved states is a great feature, and alot more games run perfectly now..

it is sooooo easy....:p

you will need to create a mail:
with outlook express take a mail with an attached file you already have.
from 'file' choose : save as : 1.eml...name it as you want
then go to the retrodev website in order to take the file (arounf 600k)
once you have it on your HDD under 2.txt open it and find

--------------050103080400030503000307
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="fGEN32s.fxe"
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="fGEN32s.fxe"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

ZnhlIGxyAgBUBAAAZkdFTjMyIHJldHJvZGV2IGJldGEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABybHllaAAAAAAAAAAA
select from 'Content-Type'........till the end (except the last line)
MB7DPxsAoP//AAA= (the last line needed)
--------------050103080400030503000307-- (this is the last line and this will be different for each mail)
copy the selection
then open your mail 1.eml (using notepad) find content-Type....and replace everything from content type till the end (except the last line)
save your file
Done
see you :lol:

Why the hell can't the guy just provide fxe's in the first place?
Never mind all this privacy crap too, just put the fecking beta's up for general download cause if anyone really wants them they'll get them anyway.
Why should we have to jump through hoops to get them though?

Sorry if I offended anyone with my request.

I joined the mailing list, and made my request there. I just got it from someone on the maiing list.

well i'm on the mailing list, the problem is i only recieve the code fro mthe file in stead of the actual attachment (and no, not the sourcecode lol, the actual hexadecimal code of the program als one long text at the end of the mail :s )
pretty annoying :s
