Does anyone know what you have to do to load gxb and gxe files?

 once upon a time, in the front of his desktop, someone wrote that gxb/gxe files were used with hacked games...
I dont remember who wrote that....but I still think it is true
So if it is then no help for hackers...just buy the game and it will work
If this person is wrong (so I would be too) then sorry to accuse you and please give us more details in order to be helped

I really hope Im wrong

see you

Well, at least it put you in better light. gxb and gxe files are specific for commercial games. If you dont have original smc + game box (astonisha was never released on JoyGP - only boxed version is available) it means that it is cracked game what means warez. Warez are not allowed here. Asking for warez or related (like your question) here = perm ban without any notice. GP32 games are very cheap and i think anybody can afford them. At least that is the only thing which can encourage other developers to do commercial stuff.

i apologise for my harsh reaction bubble, i've been lurking here for about three years and only recently bought my gp32.

it just drives me nuts the amount of people trying to rob our precious gamepark of their much deserved monies.

And i'm very aware of the hypocrisy considering i have snes, megadrive and various tv shows on my smc, but hey, lifes not fair!

welcome to the scene man, may you find it as good as i have!

Oh it all becomes kinda clear now, I thought some of the stuff on the disc looked a bit suspect....that will teach me to buy of ebay! :D

Sorry everyone.

By the way spray, how do movies come out on the gp32_console with GPCINEMA, I hear its good but havent seen it runnin. My archos is excellent but at a HUGE price.

Liar... ;)

But wanting to read .gxb or .gxc isn't necesary warez.

I would like to be able to read .gbe and .gxc on my GP32 ONLY in order to read GP Cinema (that I bought!) directly with Wind-Ups without being obliged to use European or original firmware. ;)
But it's imposible for the moment.

BTW .gxb can easily be transformed into compressed .fxe with b2fexc from Mr. Spiv (even though it doesn't work very well on GP32 after that 100% of the cases).

Yes Archos is better for movies, but very expensive and unable to read another file than movie (maybe mp3) whereas the GP32 is a video game console too. ;)
Playing GP Doom with PWADS is amazing you know. ;)

I've been playing around with the setting for a fair amount of time.

Thus far i have discovered...

Even though my gp32_console can overclock on every other app i've tried, for some reason sound becomes very stuttery at 24fps, 160kps, 22something mono 32kps audio. I'm now running my films at 20kps, etc.

Its flawless, due to the fact that the gp32_console has an lcd screen and has that fading thingy? it looks great.

With the above settings i get about 1.5mb per minute of the film, i've tried going down to 100kps for the video and found that very good also! That way you can get 1mb a minute, so a full film is achievable on one 128mb smc!

Edit:

just to clarify, in order to achieve 24fps using GP Cinema, you have to overclock to 166mhz!

I might just have to purchase gpcinema to have a go with that, sounds cool.

Your right the archos is amazing, but can be a right pain in the arse to convert stuff to mpeg4 low profile, which is all it will run.

Much easier to just record onto it from an exterior source.

Oh and £600 and it dont play DOOM, what a rip!!! :D

<whispers to Vimacs> Erm, £600 for the Archos...

Isn't that over priced? I thought it was like £400 or something... Considered buying one a while ago to flick a massive V-sign at iPod owning imbeciles.

.gxb isn't Warez. It's just homebrew that hasn't been converted to .fxe. If you have multifw, launch pacrom, and it can run the .fxe, and if you have freelauncher, get the .gxb launcher from the downloads section.

.gxe could be warez, but if you use the .zpk extractor, you can extract .gxe from .zpk (still encrypted of course), but since ASR only comes on SMC, and it came on a CD with your GP32, it prolly is warez.
