I've heard a lot of conflicting reports about this.... as of now, what systems are successfully emulated on the gp?

I can only comment on the emu's I use but here goes -

Atari 2600
Spectrum
C64 (although some stuff won't work for me, but that could just be me :p )
Atari St
nes
Game Gear
Master system
Pc Engine
Snes (slow at 133 and no sound)
Mega Drive (some full speed stuff, some stuff doesn't work, no sound)

Gonna be trying the Dragon 32 emu later on.

successful as in about 95% of games work

LittleJohn for NES
MSX and GG work on an emulator i cant remember the name of
Frodo plays C64
Gameboy and GBC work over 100% on fGB
SNES plays good speed no sound or bad speed good sound
Genesis/Megadrive christmas beta in my opinion better than GigaDrive, works great but no sound
Without going back thru my SMC thats all i can remember

Damn u Mikey!!!!

The question should be what emulators are not working. Emulation for the most part on the gp32 is pretty impresive. Most of the older systems like nes, c64, atari st, pc engine and that sort of thing are pretty spot on. The 16 bit emulators such as snes and genesis are sort of pushing the gp32 to it's limits. Many of these emulators are slow and not perfectly emulated but are really making great progress and have potential to be near perfect in the future. Look around and you'll find videos of the new genesis emulator running sonic 1 with sound it's pretty impresive stuff for such a small system.

So basically, everything older than the Genesis works, everything later is spotty?

very true ^

Virtually every system before the playstation/saturn/n64 has been emulated to a good level except for the amiga

Note that the Atari ST is 16/32bit; it was era 1986-1993, peeked in about 1989 or so
