Hi, anyone found a little time to dig into that or should I ask elsewhere?
twl6030-gpadc looks promising just DT bindings and some platform specific things needs to be added for twl6037 (AFAIK TRM isn't available only under NDA?) Then needs to be written: - battery driver for backup batter (drivers/power - similar we have for gta04) - potentiometer could be integrated probably to drivers/input - not sure about USB-ID pin (needs to be reported to user space or to other kernel module?)
hope this helps.

Hi, the twl4030 has the madc to report some voltages (e.g. battery backup voltage) and the twl63x has a similar thing called gpadc.
What I could not yet find is a working and complete driver for the twl6037, preferrably for iio because that is the future for twl4030.
There is the twl6030-gpadc driver for iio but it is not configured for twl6037 by DT (there are also differences between twl6030 and twl6032 and twl6035/7 is missing).
Here are some references to twl603x/palmas gpadc:
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/mfd/palmas.c#L712 http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/iio/adc/twl6030-gpadc.c#L867 http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mfd/p... http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/iio/adc/Kconfig?v=3.14#L186
It is no problem to configure and compile twl6030-gpadc.c but it is not loaded or activated.
What do we need it for in the Pyra?
- detection of the USB-ID pin of the OTG port
- backup battery and other measurements for bring-up of CPU board
- potentiometer position readout if we throw out the pandora compatible DAC+potentiometer+amplifier solution (depends on WiFi module need for board space) and use digital volume control through twl6040
So is there some patch for omap5-uevm floating around with likelihood to get accepted upstream sooner or later? Or do we have to fix it ourselves?
