No, not really, it's just a concern with the DT content and how linux might act upon it. Specifically if the sd card supports 1.8V operation then linux might (I presume) want to change voltage from 3.0V to 1.8V to save power. This is not supported by the (rather sub-optimal) way the power supplies have been handled here, and if linux attempts it this could be harmful to the omap5.
The fix is mostly adjusting DT so linux won't try to do this.
