Thanks. The flickering might just be one PCB then, but I'll investigate more. And freezes could relate to the newer kernel versions then.

May be a problem in the keymap. The kernel driver reports the command and dot keys.

- Sometimes, I encounter heavy flickering of the LCD. Especially
shortly after boot up. This looks like displays backlight power completely breaks down.
Hm. May be a problem with display cable (connector).
@Nikolaus: Is there a test point where I can measure the power that arrives at the display board?
Or is this a software bug?
Unlikely if it is on one board only.
- As soon as the Pyra enters a bit of powersaving mode (switching off
the backlight of the LCD), it freezes. Not sure if it only blanks the display or does something else, but it looks like something freezes when entering a low-power state.
Well, backlight off is just some screen saver inside X11 - no special power saving mode.
