I think we know we have a firmware momentum problem; just not sure we have any means of overcoming it right now .. we need more blood, as I always say ("can't squeeze more juice out of the oranges")
Or is there a bunch of activity thats just not being mentioned here much; ie: I know aTc was working on the OE builds a lot a week or two back.
Yes, and I ran into a bit of trouble there. Have to dig a bit deeper to find out what goes on exactly, but i think something FPU related with the .37 kernel is going wrong. Xorg crashes with an fpu exception thingy when using .37, but the same package runs fine with the .27 kernel, and the same things runs fine on my igep board too (with a .33 kernel though, haven't tried anything later yet)
(and a minor issue with the kernel using a different aufs version than the one the OE recipe for the tool expects)
..
Is there anythign more we can do? Anything we're really not doing thats holding things up? Anythign we shoudl not be doing?
The biggest problem imo is that it's very hard to see what's going on firmware wise. It's all a few individuals messing about with some stuff, but no coordinated effort.
