Hi Vlad!
I am contacting with you because you have Acked a recent linux-iio patch submission adding BME280 sensor support: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio.git/commit/?h=testing...
I am involved in kernel development for Pyra Handheld project (http://pyra-handheld.com/). Bosch BME280 chip is amongst peripherals included on Pyra's mainboard. There are some more Bosch sensor chips included. We want to express our thankfulness for a great work by Intel, and to ask for more :)
The only sensor chip which Pyra mainboard features and which lacks a driver in recent upstream kernel is BNO055. So we dare to ask - is there any work in progress on driver for this chip in your team, even on earliest stage? We are interested to give it a run in testing and work on improvements.
If you are interested to follow the kernel development of Pyra device, then you are more than welcome to do so, and you can add yourself to these maillists:
- kernel@pyra-handheld.com (mailman setup with broken web part, you need to send email to kernel-join@pyra-handheld.com to subscribe).
- letux-kernel@openphoenux.org (http://lists.goldelico.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/letux-kernel)
These lists are in CC of this email, please reply to all recipients if you are OK about replying in public.
Looking forward for your reply! Thanks in advance for any helpful comment!

It's always great to know that our work is useful to others!

Looks like an interesting chip. It wasn't in our pipeline, but I've ordered a couple and I hope they will arrive sometime next week. I'll be sure to cc you when I send the patch to the IIO list.
Thanks, Vlad

Thank you for your kindness! Feel free also to involve us into your work pipeline, i.e. if you could benefit from any work by us :)
