If the only change we have is a different config and this could be integrated into the Letux kernel tree, then that would be best in my opinion.
The Pyra kernel also has aufs patched in, which is needed for dbp to work. So it's slightly more than just a different defconfig. I also don't know if the sgx kernel module should be included, or that those should stay in their own package. It did need some extra kernel modifications to get it to compile last time( in the .12 kernel).
@aTc: I guess our Debian image creator can grab the source from the Letux Kernel and use the Pyra config for compilation, right?
The image creator builds everything from .deb packages, it doesn't do any compiling itself.
Could you please provide the config file so Nikolaus can include it? And let us know if there are any other patches that might be needed?
The only difference in the config file is that aufs has been enabled. Although in the recent version I compiled in a lot of modules to get the screen going as quickly as possible for a bootsplash and the hardware testing scripts.
I'm not sure which one aTc tried. If it was stable that rendered audio unusable, then it's fine. If it was testing / stable, then such critical things shouldn't happen :)
The audio problems I have are probably more to do with the hardware than the kernel. I'm not even sure audio ever worked at all on this prototype.
