So, here is my idea: Could it be that the freeze happens when the OMAP switches between voltages / frequencies (well, not always but sometimes)? Or maybe if it switches to ONE special voltage / frequency?
I have tried that before without seeing a difference.
Well for the idle freezing issue, curiously the old "disable internal dll" trick seems to work. At least for me the system keeps running just fine idling for several hours.
Confirmed, had it idle 15h and then running 2x memtester for 4h. As a side note, the temperature reached 82C @1GHz with the memtesters but it kept going. This is in the latest case (I think?) with the heatsinks.
Also, looks like we have SDRAM_CONFIG ROWSIZE bits [9:7] set to 15 while it should be 16 for 8Gb memory. But I think that is just cosmetic, not sure if that is actually used.
With only ROWSIZE adjusted I've got an undefined instruction panic after a few minutes. Second try is still running for over an hour, but I guess only the ROWSIZE change is insufficient (if it has any effect at all).
