Hi,
git.openpandora.org/pandora-kernel.git now has pandora-3.2 branch, everyone is welcome to compile and test. Like the previous time there are 2 defconfigs available, omap3_pandora_defconfig with lots of modules, proposed for use in firmware and omap3_pandora_debug_defconfig with everything compiled in and debug options on. Those are also intended to be used as starting point to get a booting kernel when doing a custom one.
LCD flickering problem from .39 should be fixed now and I don't seem to be getting keypad problems with 3.2 that were reported on 2.6.37 (and .39 I guess). musb (USB OTG) can survive reboots now, EHCI (USB host) also works here, but with the same old problem of "empty" USB hubs causing it to crash. It's worth mentioning there is now working cpufreq driver too.

Great news, I have added a 3.2 recipe to the meta-openpandora OE BSP and compile tested it using the in-tree omap3_pandora_defconfig and on the surface things look very good. http://git.io/oljDEA is the commit in question.
As I don't we have the manpower to support this and the 2.9.39 tree I have also taken a bit of a liberty made 3.2 the default kernel for the oe-core based firmware. The oe-core based stuff is a way off prime time so we may as well use it as a way to shake down the kernel at the same time :).
With that in mind I'll try and get some test images baked up with 3.2 in tomorrow.

Sounds no worse than any other kernel :), in fact with the addition of a cpufreq driver it sounds a whole lot better. Can't wait to give it a good test.
Excellent job, many thanks for all the hard work on this.
Regards,
John
Awesome work (as always!) dear friend --
Do you know of any outstanding oddities? Anything we should test specifically? Any chance this works drop-in with existing firmware (I mean, building all the modules and such as well of course), as a test?
