As I said in my previous post, I ordered my gp2x and I can't wait. Unfortunately, it looks like I may have to. Play-Asia says my estimated shipping date is Feb. 16.

The sixteenth? It's the fourth! Are they coming out with a new super-duper GP2X+ or something? Are they having to mine GP2X's out of the ground?

Seriously, I really don't want to sound like a jerk, but isn't that quite a long time?

Ahhh stop whining, some of us had to wait as long (or longer) last December :)

It's well worth it and just makes it so much more exciting!

Play-Asia shipped my second one out (for my wife :p) on the 8th of January and it still hasn't arrived. I live in Hong Kong so it should have only taken a few days. I emailed them to see why it hasn't arrived yet and they don't know.

This is their reply.

this E-Mail is regarding your lost order.

Again, please again let us apologize for the situation. We certainly
appreciate your custom, it makes us sad to hear about these problems when
it comes to the delivery of your items.

Your order was shipped a long time ago. You should have gotten it a long
time ago as well. Our records say, you unfortunately did not get it. If
you have received your order in the meanwhile, please kindly reply to us
that you have received it.

If your order has not arrived, then we can, at this time, only offer a
refund in form of store credit for furture purchases at Play-Asia.com. We
possibly could offer a resend of the lost item, and we will do so if
requested, however, please keep in mind that we can not give any guarantee
that the replacement would arrive, and that such action would be on your
own risk.

We kindly ask you, to reply to this email whether your item arrived in the
meanwhile or not.

As said before, if your item did not arrive, we can offer a store credit
in full value of your lost order, or, if requested (and understood that we
are not liable for the repeated loss of the resend) we can resend the
item.

We can not rule out that your parcel might eventually arrive still, if it
does arrive, please kindly let us know.

Once again please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Wow, I was thinking of dealing with Play-Asia, but after reading that........

possibly could offer a resend of the lost item, and we will do so if
requested, however, please keep in mind that we can not give any guarantee

So what is the point of insured shipping?

Wow -- ordered January 8, still not there?

Should I cancel this order, d'ya think?

It wasn't ordered January 8th....it was shipped out January 8th and charged to my card...it's not as simple as just cancelling the order.

Get the store credit refund, then use it to buy another gp2x with Insured shipping :)

I think GPH are recovering from the Korean New Year and trying to handle all the orders they're getting, which is probably why TV-Out cables are out-of-stock everywhere too.

So when exactly was the gp2x launched in the UK?

and where did it launch first, south korea?
