Winners of the 48h coding compo

How are these licensed? Are we allowed to port them over? Some entries look pretty enjoyable.

Have not played most of the games yet, but some look indeed pretty nice. :)

About porting... well does not look too good here, most games have been made either with Flash, GameMaker or Unity due to time constraints, C/C++ is not exactly the best way to go if you want quick results.

I only found one game using C and SDL, but sadly also OpenGL (and some other library), it might work, but it's a long shot: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-21/?uid=1555

Then there is one made in python: https://github.com/johnfn/ld21

This is C, but VisualC, so yeah dunno and have not really looked into it: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-21/?uid=2658

This one is made in Love (LUA): http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-21/?uid=4975

That are the compo entries up to #30, there might be more, there might be more in the Jam category, but I don't really have the time to look into it. Stil maybe this list is on any help.

I also tested 3. place, this "epacse", I came not pretty far in this game but it has an interesting look. (like many other games). There are also other games that are not worth to port I guess. Some are really short. 9. Place for example:

http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-21/?uid=5541 looks great and it is a nice Idea, but before I knew what actualy happend, I had completed the "game" :D

Lets also hope they release a Unity3D plugin for ARM processors some day, this Engine has potential. :)

There already is a version of Unity3D for ARM, used to compile for the iPhone for example.

But the engine is commercial and closed-source, so somebody would have to pay money to get it and then the Unity developer also would have to add a build set-up for the Pandora with specific settings.

Interesting. I thought the engine was free for non-commercial use. ^^""

However, the 2. Place of the Compo "Rainbow Jail" does work straight on the Pandora. :D Pretty slow because of Flash, and it doesn't fit in the Browser Window (zooming out does not work it seems) but it is a first step. AFAIK, there is a stand alone Flash Player for Pandora, should be tested if Flash games can run better than with the slow Browser plugin.

Doesn't that Unity3D stuff lack a Linux port? I've never used it and I can't find any references of them ever releasing a Linux version.
