20 years ago Lance E. McDonald rescued an Amstrad CPC-464 at a market in country Victoria. He was six years old. Now, married with two young children, Lance is on a mission. He wants to make a video game like the ones he used to play, using the tools he first learned when he was in primary school. The video game is called Black Annex and he’s building it by himself. All good...  Sanity is highly overrated. :)

As someone who really liked QBasic,  I have to say I like the way this guy thinks.

Not to cut him down or anything.. but this is not a first or even 50th; theres whole forums devoted to people writing games/code for old machines, using the old tools..

It is still fun as hell, in a masochistic way :)

ZX spectrum still have an active community making new games.

Amiga too… 

And there are even people that try to make new hardware using old-school design on this forum  :lol:
