So, I Got A C64...

Do you have a cassette unit or disk drive?
You can also get cartridge games for it..

Visit www.lemon64.com as it's the best C64 site..

Damnit! No disk drive or anything... :(
Just the system....
Do I need anything extra to play cartridge games? (Assuming i can get some eventually...) :)
I think I'll have a hell of a time getting a disk drive... or tape deck for it... :(
Oh well, for now i can atleast add it to the list of video game systems that i have... :)

man, i must be going blind! for sec i thought it was "so, i got a c4".

anyway,
what the others said :D

Tape games were more popular in the UK, due to shops selling them more than disks. However in some countries (esp the USA), disk games were the main format. A lot of the strategy games from the likes of SSI used this medium to the maximum.

Cartridge games were produced both at the C64 inception (mostly by Commodore, Parker Bros and a few other companies) and also when Commodore launched the C64GS (basically a 'console' style version of the C64). Ocean, Microprose, Gremlin and US Gold supported the cartridges and produced a few good games. You should be able to get hold of some cartridges on eBay (along with tapes and disks).

if u can find a tape drive ill send u a couple of tapes that i found in the garage

sadly, my tape drives mullered so refuses to work

plus the loading screen made me pass out so im not allowed to play it anymore
