Right, before I get flamed, I've read every relevant topic on this site that I could find, tried every fix and had no luck.

I am trying to run GPcinema in Slubmans firmware.

Running it outright is a no-no as it reboots.
Running it via another firmware loaded from Slubmans (tested windups and original euro firmware) also caused a reboot.

I have tried GPcinema, GPcinema2, the aquafish patched version, and an *.fpk version with the same result in each: The menu loads, but on selecting a video, instant reboot.

Any help appreciated, I really have searched high and low for an answer!

That means your video isn't encoded correctly.

He's right.
GPcinema 2 works just fine via slubmans firmware. I do it all the time. Also if you use the euro firmware and booted that from slubmans firmware then GPcinema will work also.

It might help if you say when it reboots, ie right when yopu start Gpcinema/Gpcinema2 or when you try to launch a movie.

Fixed it..

It was crashing as I loaded the movie itself. Turns out my DivX codec was too high a version. Seems ok now.
