    If it's not got analogue circuitry I don't really consider the SID playback to be authentic, but devices like this and the Pyra can certainly make a good fist of it, and digital recreation is certainly a more consistent way to do it. Seems a little limited given it's probably a general purpose computer that's skinned like that, but then these days probably more CPUs are used in cars and washing machines than in general purpose computers, not even counting phones. And I guess a computer that's not connected to the internet is becoming something of a rarity as the internet comes to your white goods as well even.

    As a dedicated device, it might be quite cool if it's quite cheap, but I suspect it won't be available in my price bracket when it does come out.

    first i thought, emulation?, no resid?, hmmm....
    but then i watched ms madlemon showing it and now i really want it!

    it's really cute and i love the waveform/tracker views, nicely done.
    and... ms madlemon can sell me anything, i guess... ;)
