I used SD Installer using the guide from pandorabits with no errors. But, when I try to boot from SD, I get the error: "Kernel Panic - not syncing: Init not found. Try passing init= option to kernel."

We'll likely need a lot more information before an answer can be found.

Manufacture, type, size of card?

Utility used to partition the card?

Utility used to format the card?

How many partitions, what formats on each?

Which slot is the card in?

Are you using autoboot.txt or boot.txt and right shoulder button?

Please post up the contents of your boot.txt and/or autoboot.txt files as well?

1. I'm using a Centon 8GB SDHC card. (I also have a 2GB Toshiba SD card if that would work better with this?)

2. I used the SD Installer found on PandoraBits.org to partition and format the card.

3. VFAT partition (which is 7274 MB large), and an EXT3 900 MB partition.

4. I'm using it in the left slot.

5. I'm using boot.txt and right shoulder button.

boot.txt contents:

setenv bootargs debug root=/dev/mmcblk0p3 rw rootdelay=2 vram=6272K omapfb.vram=0:3000K psplash=false mmc_core.removable=0

fatload mmc 0:1 0x80300000 uImage

bootm 0x80300000

autoboot.txt contents:

setenv bootargs debug root=/dev/mmcblk0p3 rw rootdelay=2 vram=6272K omapfb.vram=0:3000K mmc_core.removable=0

fatload mmc 0:1 0x80300000 uImage

bootm 0x80300000
