Has Irrlicht been ported yet? I saw it in a wiki somewhere. If that's been ported, can I compile minetest?

Seb3 compiled it for tuxkart, but I think last time he tried it was a slideshow...

Edit: If I remembert correctly, an irrlicht-dev has yet to get a pandora, so maybe this will improve...

TuxKart uses Irrlicht? I didn't know that. What do you mean by slideshow?

"After some long work porting SuperTuxKart to a new graphics engine, irrLicht, as a replacement for the old and outdated plib, we are proud to announce the first alpha release of the SuperTuxKart 0.7 development branch" from january 2010 Note: Supertux 0.7 has already been released

My experience showed that Irrlicht seems to be rather picky about video drivers, at least concerning Linux.

Heck, on my machine the new Irrlicht version of SuperTuxKart is absolutely unplayable as well whereas my Gallium-powered HD4870 should be more than enough to handle it, despite the driver's experimental status. And you can really see that: The first seconds of a race are absolutely fullspeed, but once it starts drawing any 2D elements on top it becomes a slideshow.
