How hard would be to port this great NES emu to the GP32? Source code is available here

No idea... but teh GBA speccy emu came over easily enough (see the screenie on Gp32emu), so at a guess, not too hard. I suppose it depends how much of the GBA's Transform hardware it uses...

Alas it isn't so simple for the NES, the speccy has no garphics hardware (apart from a screen) thus the code will work on a GP32 as well as a GBA with pretty much just the screen offest changed, the NES however has much more complex screen, tile and sprite hardware, which PocketNES is basicly hacking into the GBA sprite and screen hardware.

From what i've read pocketnes relies heavly on the GBA hardware to run NES games and is hardcoded like that, obviously the GP32 is easily powerful enough but all the rendering and large sections of the code has to be rewritten for the GP32.

Its a shame infones seems to have been abandoned as all it needs is the sound fixing.

Yeah, Infones is amazingly good... only problem is its slow with quite a lot of games, and has garbled graphics on a few others (e.g. SMB 3, Kirby, Earthbound Zero, both Nobunagas, and quite a few more).

But a very good emu for lots of stuff.
