Hi ya all!

I finally got my GP32 today but I'm already in troubles. :(
I followed the registration manual and everything worked just
fine until I got to the PC link installation. When I started my
installation file "pclink_1.2_en_install.exe" and it said "Install shield
self extracting..." I just got to 99% when the program stopps
and freezes after some time. I tried to reboot, downloaded other
versions of this file and finally the new version 1.3, but I'm always
facing the same problem!

Can anybody help me?

hm PC Specs / OS etc.
try closing everything down ctrl/alt/del apart from systray and explorer

Thx for your help!

I did this and changed the USB drivers, and then it worked, not sure what
it was. Now I'm uploading stuff already! *yehay*

I'm sure this is a terrible newb question, but can't I copy filenames longer
than 8 chars to my GP32?

Thx MrT, I'll check out the patch this evening.

I was just somewhat confused, since some of the files I got from the net
were archived in GP32 folders (GPSYS, GPMM, etc.), so I thought I
could just copy them to the SMC, since they already have the right
format. But the zip filenames were all very long, containing spaces and
special characters.

So I dunno, who made this archive, but it would be annoying if you had
to rename every file in it manually. I really hope that your patch will be
upgraded for 1.3, or else I'm going to downgrade the PC link software.
