Hi all, just received my Pandora and everything is ok apart from being unable to shut down.

When i try to do this, it looks as if all is going well and shuts down, but it then begins to restart and goes back to the desktop.

I've tried reflashing the firmware but to no avail. Any ideas?

Is it plugged in

It will always want to be on when plugged in so wont shut down

Yep, it was plugged into the mains. Didn't realise it would do that.

Is there anyway to charge it whilst it's turned off?

Ps. thanks meandu229!

The OMAP is handling the charging, so the unit has to be on to charge properly :)

that would explain why my cellphone turns itself on as well when plugged into the charger (altho it does so in a power-saving mode)

chipset must be built in a similar fashion.

makes sense to save costs vs having a dedicated charge controller.

Thanks everyone for clearing that up! Good to know that all is as it should be.
Remember not to leave it on charge indefinitely.

The battery seems to suffer if left on charger for very long periods(days/weeks)
