Im beginning to think about cancelling, since im tired of the whole adventure. takes to long.

So im searching for devices that compare with the pandora.

maby some kind of umpc with long battery life and windows 7, webcam, those kind of nifty stuff.
Its hard to find something now that competes with pandora, but its just such a damn long wait...
my patience is over.
If i find a device that competes and is worthy, i will buy it. Then il cancel.
If i cant find it in time, i will wait for pandora.

The device must have:
-Longer then 5 hours battery.
-Touchscreen.
-Keyboard.
-Desktop Envoirement.
-Small enough to fit in a pocket.

I hope this topic is allowed here in this section, if its not, well then move it please.
Im only looking for advice.

'Other Consoles' section.

Netbook of some sort? You don't mention the need for any gaming controls, in which case I don't know why you ordered a pandora anyway :).

 Moving it to Off Topic/Other Consoles is a good idea. I refuse to answer as long as it's in the Pandora section.

gaming control would be nice, but not nessacary.
I ordered the pandora because its very small, veeeery good battery life, and has full desktop envoirement.
Its like a netbook, but ultra small. A netbook cant fit my pocket.
yes thats also a must. il edit the thread.

You have three options. Buy a Sharp Netwalker, buy a UMID (M1 or BZ) or wait for Pandora. Pandora is the least expensive and has proper gaming controls, which the other options are lacking.

Wait for a Moblic, mate. B)

I emailed the company for more information on this, mainly for the site, asked when I'd be able to buy one for review purposes. Oh and most importantly: what OS it's running.

Somewhat predictably, no response, so I'll try to keep you posted.

EDIT: Oh, they literally JUST replied

Dear Paul,
Thanks for your interest in Moblic E7.
E7 is broadband mobile internet device and innovative service platform which enables you to enjoy real internet world applications such as Entertainment (Game, Music, Film, UCC etc), Education, Information and Communication.
Moblic have focused more on developing Service Platform which is Contents Distribution Framework. And it will make broadband mobile data world experience to be very easy and pleasant. So this is not just MID, but Smart MID enabled by Moblic service platform, hardware, and broadband network (mobile WiMAX / WiFi).
We are planning to release our E7 in Korea in July and in other global market in Q3/Q4 this year. And Moblic will open more detailed information on E7 around May before official product release into the market. Your understanding would be very much appreciated.

Thanks and regards

Moblic Broadband

So basically, out over here by the end of the year maybe, and who knows what's under the hood (OS wise).

The Sharp Netwalker looks quite nice but it is quite a lot bigger then the Pandora. It got a bigger screen, higher res and a larger keyboard, more RAM and it seems a bit more powerful. But otherwise it does not compare to the Pandora in terms of features. It's geared more towards office stuff, coding etc but then I would probably go for something even larger like a 10" netbook.

^It looks interesting at first glance, but it's extremely uncomfortable design-wise and no analogue nubs is a joke. How should anyone play Quake on this thing?

Quake rocks.
Definitely :) At least one playable Quake port has always been a requirement for me when purchasing a handheld. I played the first Quake on my E115 Mips PocketPC at 6fps average. The Dpad was quite good, but digital controls suck. I can't wait to try dual nub action :D

I'm typing this on an N900 and it meets most or all of your criteria. Keyboard, decent (but not great) battery, touchscreen, pocketable. It's arguable whether Maemo meets your desktop environment requirement, but you can install a Debian chroot with LXDE if you feel the need. On the downside, it's fairly expensive, but I think it's a good value for the money.

I think PSP2, it would pack much more higher performance 5 gen power vr, with tenth of gigapixels per seconds capabilities.
