Ok, I understand you can overclock the gp32. How much benefit does this give you, how risky is it, and how easy is it to do. I've been looking at the forums for a while, nut this is my first post. I might get a GP32 tomorrow.

If you need overclocking, the emulators/apps do it and (sometimes) they give a choice of how fast, it is safe upto 133MhZ on all GP32s and some people say that they can over colock to 156 or 166 no prob, but I haven't tried (too scared to)

EDIT: It is all done by software!

So basically, programs only use as much battery as they need, and it's easy. It's done with a single call to GpClockSpeedChange in the programming code. Most programs run at 133 Mhz or lower, some allow you to change it.

I've overclocked to 166Mhz for a while just to see if it worked. It did, but I wouldnt want to keep it up for longer than a short time.....

All done by software....
