Nintendo E3 2013

I was watching e3.nintendo.com until I got bored... It was a little flakey at times, but generally watchable

Let's just say that as a die hard Nintendo fan I was hoping for something a bit more than meh. :(

Nothing new. No news on Zelda WiiU. Nothing on Pikmin 3 (I know that's ready to roll, but still), no new Nintendo franchise just the same olde same olde.

Yes they are great franchises, but please sir - can I have some more... new stuff and not just ports and updates.

What they showed looked pretty and all, but still...

The only thing they announced about Super Smash Bros is that MegaMan is joining the game. Big whup. Who didn't see that one coming.

Bayonetta?

Awesome.

I hope they don't mess up Super Smash Bros. too much.

Brawl was perfect for me.

Its hard to see the next Bayonetta game being a WiiU exclusive since its one of my favourites.  I hope weak sales will change that. The WiiU is just lame.

Bayonetta exclusive on WIiU sucks bad. I'm never going to buy a WiiU just to play that. I seriously hope it will be ported to something else later on...
From everything I've read thus far, Nintendo pretty much hired Platinum Games to make B2, so I doubt we'll see it elsewhere anytime soon, but you never know what may happen in the future.

Yeah, today's show was very lackluster to say the least. Considering the position the WiiU is currently in, I don't know how they didn't announce a price drop, a better bundle package or something?

I guess they figure with all the next gen turmoil, they'll set back and wait for the fight to end and go from there, but by then it will be to late. I can see not doing a price drop now, as they still don't have any great games out to help spur sales, but waiting until the holidays, still doesn't look like it may do much either.

Well, after watching all 3 big players, I have no current plans to buy any of their systems currently. The PS4 looks the coolest and best valued of the bunch, but I don't see anything that makes me need that console soon. It looks like I'll be waiting for a price drop, or slim models before I even consider moving away from the current gen.

Nintendo really let me down today, as this was their chance to strike while the iron was hot, but anything they do from here on out, is to little, to late. As for Vita, this was even worse than Nintendo, absolutely Fucking terrible. Maybe I'll get a PS4 sooner, just so I can play some games with the Vita :p

Yeah bayonetta didnt sell enough copies something eight hundred thousand or so. As such a sequel was never on the cards but nintendo wanted it in wii u. I guess it was to show their hardcore gaming credentials so to speak.

I may wait till later to buy a ps4 though. not at launch unless im flush.

oh and that madmax game did catch my eye. hope its good.

If you haven't seen mad max and particularily mad max 2 then do so now. great films.

And then NEVER WATCH MADMAX 3! Two directors, Hollywood fuckshit, Tina turner, midgets, school children and bullshit!!

@jumpman,

My guess is that a price drop will happen when the PS4 and Xone are about to hit retail. Timing is everything.

as a mega man fan since a little child, my jaw dropped the whole trailer of him being shown off. ive never really played wind waker so unline the massive people that loved it, ill have to chance to enjoy it for the first time i guess. donkey kong country is as nice as always, no surprises there or low expectations, mario kart is a guaranteed love for me. never played first bayonetta, but it looks interesting enough to delve into, but as others, i was always hoping, wishing, and crossing my fingers for that next mind blowing new mature zelda title, and while im sure itll arrive one day on wiiu, itd always be nice to see it early. and it will give me something to play watch dogs on without having to pump out more cash for other consoles, only wish gta5 wouldve also made it to wiiu, or at least that rockstar would release it on pc same time as consoles

Yeah, it's not an emergency right now, as the competition isn't available yet, so I think a price drop for the holidays is a sound bet. At least 50 bucks, are a new bundle with more games included.

Seeing Mega Man was very cool, but I cant stand Smash Bros, so that was of no interest at all, but I know millions love it, so it was good to see. Especially for the 3DS as well, that's cool.

Wind Waker is one of the prettiest games you'll ever play, but along side the classics, it will leave you flat overall. Good game, but it's padded with filler to extend the adventure, and it's very boring by the end, but I would recommend everyone play it at least once. It's a very cool experience, just not great.

Donkey Kong Country is killer, and the WiiU version looks great, so as long as there is no dopey control issues, it should be great.

Bayonetta is awesome, and part 2 looks to fallow the trend.

I'm very burnt out on Mario Kart, and Nintendo seems uninterested in doing anything new. Sadly, I'm sure I'll be skipping this entry.

Nintendo has stated that they almost showed the new Zelda, but changed their minds last minute. So it's coming, but probably way early in development. It's also their trump card, so you'll see it when they need to deliver the ace in the hole.

The new Mario World 3D looks great, and although I would have preferred it on the 3DS, or a more full blown 3D Mario on the WiiU, I loved the 3DS game, so this will be a must if and when I ever get a WiiU.

Anyone with any sense shouldn't have seen that coming. Capcom has seemingly abandoned all but lip-service to the Megaman franchise, it's been incredibly lackluster for years. Putting Mega-Man into Smash Bros at this point in time was the dreams of madmen. But as the saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Even though I cant stand the SB franchise, I was personally hoping they would put Bayonetta in, as she is a "fight" style character, but since she is "M" rated, I guess that was a pipe dream at best.

completely agree with this whole statement, even as they were showing the trailer, i expected it to be a 3ds game until i really saw how clear the visuals look. its a very simplistic game that is a perfect fit for the 3DS, and the first one was really well done on it as well. but they again, super mario bros doesnt below as a full blown console game anymore either, and should really stick to either 3DS, or an eshop title. not saying theyre bad games, quite the opposite, but it just feels like a 500mb homebrew game at times, and has no place on a home console on disc

im sure this is the exact reason they DIDNT want someone like bayonetta in smash bros, otherwise whats to say all other capcom fighting characters shouldnt be in it, and we know there are tons of capcom fighting characters. smash bros is more of a game to bring iconic characters from all other games and put them into a fighting game
