Hello,
I am an avid and enthusiastic PEZ collector, and have recently acquired a set of the "Pink Panther" dispensers, complete with candy. When I dove into the candy for a taste, I was in for a dual-surprise. Firstly, the candy was all colorless ... each flavor was as white as chalk. Secondly, the tastes were amazing!! The lemon was nice and tart, the orange was sweet and citrus-y, and the strawberry was succulent!
I enjoyed these candies (made in Austria, according to the labels (which, BTW are more attractive than the American counterparts)) so much, that I threw out all my other packs of U.S. crap candy!! I'm appalled! Why is it that PEZ candy made for American consumption is dull in the flavor department, yet full of bright color?
I have ~46 dispensers in my current collection; that's 138 packs of candy that must be thrown away due to its inferior flavor, and it honestly disappoints me.
I'll still collect the dispensers, but as for the candies, I'm hereby boycotting the American-made junk.
Sincerely,

So yeah. I'm also going to hammer their 800# (800-653-3134) to get some answers ... and maybe a way to cheaply import the Austrian-made candies ... I'm eating some strawberry now. mmmmmmmm!
