What's been going on with the Pandora's best (and only) Nintendo 64 emulator? Has any work been done on it lately?

i hear the source code is available, will you be working on it?

I got some bug reports that I'm looking into. I have fixes for most of these issues, but I need to test some more games to make sure they work.

Not as awesome as your first post in this community, but awesome none the less
You mean this one?

I'll try to post an updated version in the next few weeks. Most of the fixes are rare problems that don't affect most games.

Cool. The only game I plan on plying is Ocarina of Time right off the bat, it is the only N64 game I even own, but I'm sure others will follow.

I haven't yet tried to track down what causes gles2n64 to crash with this game.

Ah beans, oh well, I'm in no big hurry as I don't yet have my Pandora and there are other games I can play till then.

you know, if you ever need a guinea pig, let me know, my grandfather was in the Tuskegee Experiment, in other words, id be more then welcome to dedicate some time to testing some n64 roms, once i receive my pandora of course....

BlueProto .. have some respect for the man, don't hound him down ;)

I think his post "fixes for most of these issues" is self explanatory -- that implies fixes .. ie: compatibility.

Speed for something like mupen is Hard Work.

I already know which games work, and which games don't work.

By testing games, I do not mean playing the games. I mean running some specific part of a known-working game, unattended, for 5-10 minutes, and checking the debug log for errors. Then checking the total amount of cpu time that was used, to see if it got any faster or slower.

When I have some free time, I'll test a dozen games or so and if they all work, and there isn't any unexpected slowness, then I'll post a new release. I probably won't get to it this weekend. Maybe next week.

The reported issues were related to speed, compatibility, and failing to build on certain linux distributions.

yeah it took 3 years for the PSP N64 emulator to get where it is and from the videos the one on the Pandora looks better because there are several graphic glitches on the Zeldas for the PSP still and they run at about 17 FPS until you reach the village on Majora's mask then it drops like a rock. So just be glad it runs as good as it does. :)
