I have a weird probablem whereby Mousepad is always starting after a fresh boot. I've no idea why it started doing this but it's starting to get a little annoying.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do to stop this weird behaviour?

Maybe it's in "Settings > Desktop > Session and Startup" marked to start automatically?

Specifically on the "Session" tab. Also check the "general" tab and see if "Automatically save session" (or something like that) is checked. Also look in "~/Applications/Settings/autostart" and see if there are any unexpected .desktop files.

edit: Oh wow, I think I just accidentally figured out how to automatically start a PND (such as Apache or mySQL or whatever other daemon): copy the automatically created .desktop file to the autostart directory. The autostart are run after log in, so guaranteed that the SD card will be mounted, and if it isn't inserted it will simply fail to start, but will still be there the next time you reboot.

Caveat being that you won't be able to remove or even unmount that card though.

How to autostart PND:

1: Open

/usr/share/applications

2: Right click to the application and open with mousepad

3:Search for: Exec=

4: Copy the command that comes after "Exec="

5: XFCE-settings menu: Session and Startup.

6: New command at startup

-> Copy the command.

That should work.

Yeah, and now thinking about it there's other ways as well. And here I thought I had a brilliant idea.
