Another Slashvertisement, huh?
ahh well, can only be a good thing.......more dev's. Not that we need any more, current one's have surpassed my expectations already!!
Nothing but good news in my eyes.
slashdot = visitor explosion = bandwidth limit exceeded = GP32X goes down.
It was nice knowing you, gp32x.de *wipes away a tear*
I can't believe they didn't mention DrMD the best emulator on the system. They just talk about the stuff that sux like SNES emulation. Kind of weird.
so many idiots making stupid comments.
I thought DaveC made a reasonable point there.
Like the guy that says that he won't buy it until it has li-ion batteries. What is it with the li-ion brainwashing these days?
im talking about the comments on Slashdot.
Yes, lots of skepticism there. I tried to counter with some positive comments:
Love the statement things at the bottom:
standards, n.: The principles we use to reject other people's code.
Ryan's Law: Make three correct guesses consecutively and you will establish yourself as an expert.
And besides, who cares about all these skeptics? We know it'll get better, and they'll be left in the dust. Muhahaha.
Yup. Exposure to the masses = instant idiocy. Every time.
ITS NOT TEHPSP@!!
ahh!!! I was about to order a gp2x, but gbax is running ridiculously slowly due to the /.ing. Damn you slashdot!
There are always idiots in any sufficiently large group. Still, I won't knock the Slashdot exposure. Hundreds of thousands of Linux (and other assorted) geeks reading about the GP2X can only be a good thing in my book.
couldnt agree with you more DaveC.
4x2500mah batteries is better than a li-ion battery to me.
hmmm, cheap rechargable high-capacity batteries and the possibility of non-rechargables for emergencies that can be bought anywhere. Or, a proprietary expensive li-ion battery that can only be bought at specialist shops.
Hmmm, let me think about that one
Reminds me of my last holiday. My camera takes AA's and the batteries went flat. Didn't take the charger, but managed to buy a 4 pack of AA's from the local newsagent that lasted the remainder of the holiday.
Is there really NOWAY to make them understand this simple fact? *sigh*
First time a slashdot has taken my site down, must have been good! (Or uklinux are getting slow)
Slashdot does get us lots of new members and owners, so its all good, the people who make silly comments don't buy one so don't worry.
But the article is correct, the speed of software dev has exceeded all expectations. Its astonishing!
