could hyperspin work on pandora? if not could we get something this cool made for pandora? a project like this would take more than one person to make for pandora. but man we have some talented people in our community.

Hyperspin has been discussed before here but I doubt its possible. According to the admin on the Hyperspin forum http://www.hyperspin...ead.php?t=10137 it definitely isn't going to happen, closed source, and not enough power/ram in the Pandora.

The closest two other projects so far, have been Effigy by Aimless E (discussed in these 2 threads below)

PND here: http://boards.openpa...h&attach_id=415

and WahCade ported by Sigma

Introduced here with the PND http://boards.openpa...frontend-beta1/

I don't think either project is finished as of yet and only 2 of us expressed interest in WahCade and I still haven't got that set up (my bad), so I'm not sure if it works.

edit: I found a couple of older posts which discuss some other frontends that are open source Linux based and also a suggestion that PickleLauncher could perhaps be made into a multifrontend somehow, so perhaps a whole jar of Pickles you could select from and it would then launch the appropriate app. I'll shut up again.

WANT. Pity it's not avail, I'd love something like this on the Pandora...

You can code a gui for something like that in panorama (qml).

RESURRECTION

Just reading a comment from jeff in another post, made me think about emulator front-ends on the Pandora...again.

Hyperspin is damn nice but I know the chances of that ever coming to a Pandora near you soon is slim to none.

Just wondering if any other ones are in the pipeline that people are aware of, or how these ones MarioPandio mentioned above a couple of years back are coming along...

Perhaps someone who follows the software development threads here will know the score?

I'd still love some nice visual/screenshot showing front-end for all emulators installed.

So just wondering how/if any of those mentioned above have/are coming along ... or if anyone is or has heard of anyone else planning to work dev magic on one?

Nice one b_o_b that does look very very nice, just what I'm talking about.

Some thumbs for each game would be sweet but a fair amount of work I'd imagine, based on just the number of games alone let alone coding it all. Perfect as is though to me, just great to have a FE I feel.

Be good if nuhrin does add in Yoshi's cheat sheet for individual emu controls too, for easy and quick reference

...some graphics for the systems would be nice though, which I guess would only be a dozen or so, however many emu systems it can use, providing the code to add this isn't too much work. Even just as is though its looking good to me
