How can I install games ending with *.smc like Dungeon & Guarder Demo? When I install them in /Game the gp says no progs on smcard.

I haven't found something about that in the search or faq.

there is a way, but it's piracy. the games cost next to nothing anyway.

That was a really stupid question lol, the people here are very anti piracy.

(if you dont already know, that game is a commercial game)

Why piracy? I have downloaded the demo from this side - so how can it be illegal? I just want to know how to play that legal demo!

Yes you can run these demos on the geepee emulator on your computer. .smc files are smc card images and are not made to be run on a real gp32.

I have found out that I have to use GPDev (which I have downloaded from gp32x.de too) to unpack the image. Why didn't you just say that instead of crying "warez - piracy!!!" ? I didn't know that there are warez which use that format, too. I just wanted to play that demo.

Oh, so you can tell if it´s warez if you know the file ending.

Either you´re very stupid or very 1337. Dont´t ask for my assumption...

in 90% of cases the questions for smc are warez related, and the so called demos are in fact the full game afaik. if you want the game just buy it for a few $ at gamepark.com
and unpacking wont help you anyway, the executable is encrypted.

From the way 1337 people act, it must mean those rejected from or too stupid to be 1338.

I use DRMD but I buy the games before I download the roms or some games I had before I owned the GP32
specifically I own Ecco, Mikey mania, etc for my megadrive - unfortunatly being a family man I get no time to assemble the megadrive so I play these games on the GP32 - I also own a Spectrum with 30 plus games - (in the loft)

so NO I do not pirate...

anyway try Quiest Minigame project - thats cool and not pirated. :D

The group here are a great bunch -
some react a bit quick though... :D

    you are pirating

the only way not to is to dump the roms your self (you can buy a thing taht hooks up the comp to do that), if the games are freeware, homebrew, or if the copy wright ran out

    so yes you are pirating

    edit: @Tarka
