Release Generally Speaking, If We Have Rejected Something I Don't Want To

Red, I'm pretty sure. There are too many extra wires on the green one, not to mention that it seems like they were still using external battery sources (not set up for using a physical battery) on that one.

I don't know if thats the final version but the green one(bottom right) is the newest. The top is V1.0, the bottom left is V1.1, and the bottom right is V1.2 I believe. It's too bad the pictures were not higher res so we could see what they have taken out and added in. The top board has an RS-232 connection and it looks like they took it out of the next 2 but I can't make out the text on the chips to see if the level shifter has been removed or not.

edit: also it looks like the bottom left one is dated September 2008 and the bottom right one is dated March of 2009

Its a pity that the rev numbers etc are not a little clearer. Just too blurry for me.

It's hard to say isn't it? The rev number on the green looks higher (and has a date above the rev number, unlike the other two boards, I think), plus there's a new circle with alphanumeric characters on the lower-left corner. The only other difference I could find in my quick scan was a new chip on the red board where the JTAG is on the green board.

Maybe someone who is enlightened in all things Pandora will grant us a little bit of their wisdom.

I think they all have dates above the rev number its just that the red and blue ones are the month spelled out where the green one has the month number.

for me, the labeling top left onto the green board says "rev 1.2" so it looks like we will have green PCB's onto the final Units. But why green? Nearly every device today has green PCB's, I would prefer this nice red...or maybe black? Well, tastes are different. :D

The production pcbs might be another colour; MW is discussing it .. I suggested yellow since I think it'd look like a bumble bee :) Some fun ideas bounced around in jest .. putting a maple leaf or the pandora logo silkscreened on, etc. The things you can fab nowadays .. picking pcb colours! Too cool.

Maple leaf? Why not the tree of lebanon? At least then my Pandora would be bulletproof.

Maple leaf came up since MW is Canadian and the Maple Leaf is our flag's icon. And hey, everyone likes Canadians right? (or at least our beer and syrup!)

green pcb? sweeeet. call me old-fashioned, but i like my pcb's to the point.

I'd prefer to have some really weird color, like some dark-blue-greenish color, or a gradient from red to blue :p
But it doesn't really matter in the end, now does it.

BTW, doesn't someone have the copyright on the Canadian flag? I don't know if you're allowed to "print it" and "sell it" just like that.

I'm pretty sure flags are automatically in the public domain.
