Well, actually I'm not the typical hysterical animal defender, but it makes me feel uneasy nonetheless. I can't help seeing that "inventor" as a sad guy who tries to make something shocking, as some kind of attention whore. No wonder he disabled comments on his video, he must have gotten some angry reactions by people who told him to get a life.
Moreover, I'm regularly donating to animal care foundations, and seeing this video is hurting me. I suppose the cat was already dead, but that's not the point. Nobody in their right mind would have the idea to make a dead human corpse fly, for example: that would just be considered totally sick and disrespectful. So why a dead cat corpse would be funnier? Just because we are a "superior" species, and we can treat the rest of life on earth like crap? Not sure this kind of reasoning makes us superior in any way...
I know someone who threw his cat from the 9th floor to see if it could land on his 4 legs. Of course the cat died, and that's that kind of stupidity that doesn't need to be encouraged, IMHO.
Not trying to convince anybody anyway, but it had to get out.
