Hi there,

As pidgin seams to be a pig memory wise, here is empathy which should do exactly the same things.
This is not the lastest and greatest, but 2.29.6 (the lastest depend on newer version of glib and gtk. I didnt wanted to build these) Im not using IM clients on pandora either so testing is all for you.

definitely gonna give this a go. pidgin keeps freezing up for me on the latest PND and needs to be killed, despite doing nothing but leaving it there for a few mins signed into accounts.

hey just given this a go and it requires the installation of network plugins. is it possible to have these packaged as part of the pnd rather than on the NAND? the link for the protocols is here:

http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/FAQ#How_can_I_connect_to_.28a_protocol.29_in_Empathy_.3F

empathy starts no problem but there are no networks to choose from

+1, starts but no networks.
I thank you sebt for porting this little fella.

Who wants to fight with dbus ?

Telepathy register its services through dbus. I added a script to copy the services definition in /usr/share/dbus-1/services.
You'll need to restart dbus to actually see this in the dialog.

I'm now unable to save my config ! (pndrun_empathy.log have some message about that...)

If someone want to make it work, you have all the binaries in now....
