Hello,

With Debian Squeeze installed and alsa, alsa-utils, and right permissions, when I play a sound with mplayer I hear nothing. Fresh nice install on SD.

Mplayer seems to look for pulse and do sthg.

Does the Pandora has a Speaker or you hadnt sufficient space and it needs a jack to out?

Kind regards

It has two speakers on the left and right side of the screen.

It might be a softwareissue you are having here.

Edit: Instead of pulse, try to use alsa or oss output.

I have installed :

alsa alsa-utils

both. No pulse audio, I never used that ever. I usually use a own made script that lsof and detect the use of sounds.

However aplay -l and arecord -l ... give output that I cannot understand very much.

alsamixer -c 0 gives not Master,0 nor even PCM,0

surprising a bit ....

strange
