Hello

I am interested in buying the Frontlit Gp32 With Extras that you have laced for sell now, and I would want to enquire about the resent condition of the above mentioned, as well as some detail about you. I expect this timely enough.

As for the ayment, I would need you to get back in touch with the last asking rice as I will be paying with a c/e/r/t/i/f/i/e/d c/h/e/q/u/e.

Lastly, lease forward to me your full comany's (or mailing address, telephone and fax) details as I will subsequently refer reaching you through these
facilities.

sound slike the nigerian scammer emails that allwyas fill up my inbox. I wouldnt find it that odd if I had advertised a GP32 for sale, but i havnt, its just a random pm sent to me

Sure sounds like a 417 (Nigerian Scam).

There's another scam though that's been around for a good while - completed auction sales / auto sales / whatever and the "purchaser" offers to pay with a certified cheque - This will either be a completely fraudulent cheque, or drawn upon an account which no longer has sufficient funds in it to clear the cheque. Because it appears to be certified, the cheque will appear to clear in your account, but will subsequently "bounce" - leaving you out of pocket the full amount (the bank's t's/c's state that should the payment subsequently fail DESPITE them clearing the funds you WILL be liable).

The variation on this is for the "certified cheque" to exceed the value of the goods being sold - you're asked to clear the cheque and return the balance (often via Federal Union I believe) - of course, the cheque will clear as before, but will later bounce leaving you out of pocket the FULL amount of the cheque, INCLUDING the "excess" you returned. Usually, there's a "pressing urgency" requiring the Federal Union be completed swiftly (for obvious reasons) and that should generally be an alarm-bell-style indicator ;)

I'm not making any judgement here, but be advised!
