No, I just use make deb-pkg , and all the dtb end up in /usr/lib/linux-image-4.19.75-letux-lpae-pyra/ .
I just tried it with make bindeb-pkg in case that made a difference, but that also puts the dtb in linux-image-4.19.75-letux-lpae-pyra_4.19.75-letux-lpae-pyra-1_armhf.deb
Maybe you're missing...
It's done mostly through https://dev.pyra-handheld.com/packages/pyra-kpkg , that runs the postinst scripts when a kernel package is installed, and puts everything in the right place for extlinux to work.
Default kernel options are set in /etc/default/pyra-extlinux, which are then used by...
There is, it's the same installer used to make bootable sd cards, ran from the init-hwtest script :
It's not very well tested.
ED seems to have an issue...
eMMC booting works fine.
The only slight issue is that there's a switch between the microsd card slot and the emmc, and the hardware can only see one at a time. The kernel defaults to microsd mode currently so once it's running it can't see the eMMC. The current fix is a small script in the...
source and binaries are here : https://packages.pyra-handheld.com/images/extra/pvr/4.19.4-letux-lpae-zmatt-pyra/linux-4.19.4-letux-lpae-zmatt-pyra.tar.xz
( dtbs are slightly hidden at usr/lib/linux-image-4.19.4-letux-lpae-zmatt-pyra/ )
/etc/powervr.ini doesn't even exist on PyraOS, I must have...
I just tried it with the 4.19.4-letux-lpae-zmatt-pyra kernel/module, and that works.
and "works" in the case means that it can run eglinfo , gles1test1 and gles2test1 , the other programs all give errors, but I don't think that's ever been any other way.
(run it as "gles1test1 100" otherwise...
Xorg has to be stopped, and the tiler rotation has to be set to 0 for the sgx to work.
Although im not 100% sure about xorg needing to be stopped, I think i remember messing about with some windowed mode things where they just showed up in the corner of the screen. (but that might have also been...
That's the one that didn't work :)
I think all of those worked , but they're not very recent.
That one certainly works, but it's even older, with a 4.7 kernel.
kernel module :
We do have a bit of hack in the package postinst to patch the lib (so technically we're not distributing modified binaries).
It will run whatever Debian calls stable. You can of course run anything you want on it, but as something we have to sort of officially support as a default OS, stable should give the least amount of problems.
Then again, if we run into issues where we need lots of newer library versions than...
Other than lowlevel kernel stuff, we also need devs for the support apps, like having a nice non-zenity based first-run-wizard, automated hardware testing, and various gui applications to change pyra specific settings.
There's also a lot of non-kernel lowlevel stuff to be done though.
Same here, it's because lightdm keeps restarting because xorg keeps crashing on the driver , if you stop lightdm the messages will stop too.
Something in those kernels > 4.15.0 goes pretty wrong.
3d should work once the kernel module is loaded though, and that won't do anything while xorg is...
linux-image-4.15.17-letux-lpae-pyra-l is the one that has the gpu stuff :
apt install linux-image-4.15.17-letux-lpae-pyra-l
boot with that kernel.
stop xorg/dm ( from serial/ssh: systemctl stop lightdm)
edit /usr/share/pyra/scripts/letux/tiler-ctl and change ROTATION=0 to ROTATION=1
