Where To Get One In The Uk (to Ebay Or Not To Ebay That Is The Questio

$77 at SuperUFO comes to about £48 but you are running the risk of paying import tax. They cost circa £60 including postage on ebay but I've no idea if you'd have to pay import tax on that too. Probably worth checking the import tax position with the ebay sellers before going any further... John

    What Are Gph Like?

I don't think the GP32 was intended to be a homebrew machine... they just neglected to lock it down properly and the scene popped up as a result. It took a long time for them to realise that so many of the people that bought the GP32 did so for homebrew and emulation. John

No Posts About The New "psp Go" ?

If they left the UMD in they it'd just be a PSP with a worse form factor. Plus, the size of the UMD drive would prevent the change to shape... so the Go would just be a PSP with exactly the same form factor. Hardly a compelling improvement! Sony want to move to digital distribution because it...

No Posts About The New "psp Go" ?

Games will have to be bought through the Playstation Network... It's a good thing for smaller developers who don't want the financial risk of a boxed product and might result in more innovative games coming out for the PSP. However, as a game buyer you will be entirely at the mercy of Sony's...

    Smc->xd Adapter For Gp32?

I think the NLU and BLU had slightly different cables... at least, one has a notch and the other doesn't so if you find what looks like the right cable but a little notch stops it going in then you need the other type. That make sense? John

Dingoo Vs Gp2x (only For The Next 3 Months)

Regarding the original question of whether a Dingoo is preferable to a GP2x for the next 3 months... personally I'd say no. I have thought about getting a Dingoo but I'm going to leave it for at least another 3 months to see a ) how the scene develops and b ) whether Dingoo continue to support...

    Who Still Uses Their Gp32?

Been playing with it a lot again recently (after a long hiatus) and I still love that clicky joystick... must be all those years using a Competition Pro. John

Touch Screen Fail :-( Help! Opinions?

I was thinking that the screen protector may be confusing how the screen registers touch rather than not letting the touch through but it is really only idle speculation. I got a free third-party screen protector with my first DS and I found that although it worked fine most of the time it...

Touch Screen Fail :-( Help! Opinions?

Could it be something to do with the screen protector?

    Why So Much Hatred Here?

To some degree it has always been like this. When this forum was just for the GP32 and someone dared to mention a Zodiac there was always a few "you're biased - what would you know" type posts. The difference now is that the forum covers more that one system and there is the inevitable...

Let''s Make Up Pandora Marketing Slogans!

"Ready to reach inside Pandora's box?" Then you get this guy to appear in the ads: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0759879/ And for added fun you get The Blockheads to do the music (minus Ian Dury obviously)

Worst Average Posts Per Day Record?

Okay, so I lurked on this board for about 6 months before joining and posting and then after a while decided I had nothing interesting to say and went back to lurking. I just noticed that I have a fantastically low average posts per day rating - just 0.16. Is this the record for longest...

    Fnes32

Absolutely - I love LittleJohn (even donated to Yoyo) but just thought I was missing something... I also liked the neatness of having two Reesy emus (DrMD & DrSMS) and two Ryleh emus (fZX32 and fNES32) and nothing much else. Not to worry, I can live with three author's work on my SMC :P John

    Fnes32

It's been a while but I thought I'd dust off my trusty GP32 and enjoy some of that retro gaming emulated goodness... and lo the SMC is corrupt! So I am now re-installing everything and have got to fNES32. Or more to the point, I haven't, because I can't find it anywhere. I am sure I used to...

Just Got A Used Gp32 From A Friend

Card readers are stupidly cheap - I just got a 12 way for £5 so that would definately be a good route to go down... In the meantime, go to this site and get GP Manager and any other bits that you need. J(ohn)

    GP32 Z80 Core In Asm

Tis a fair point though... I don't think we have a Speccy or GB emu that uses the ASM Z80 core. That said, fZX32 runs full speed without and fGB32 probably does too (just needs more stable speed/aut frameskip or something). J(ohn)

Damn, What Have I Done! Need Serious Help!

Is it booting completely and then refusing to let you log in or is it going to Windows recovery? There's a common problem with XP where a bit of the boot data gets corrupted and it starts giving various errors - when it happened to me it started bleating about me not having any admin rights -...
