    Request: Uk Gp32 Owners

Then in a couple of weeks we'll have someone else looking for a USB lead :D Before giving up altogether I'd have a thorough read of Darkfaders GP32 page. You might even want to contact him for advice. Or you could try what Sam suggests and PM horsht. J(ohn) EDIT: There's an alternative...

    Request: Uk Gp32 Owners

Non-lit GP32s came with a bios that needed Freelauncher to load homebrew software. Freelauncher needs to be downloaded from GP32.com and has to be registered for that individual machine - which needs a USB cable to do. The alternative would be to flash the firmware with something that doesn't...

    Request: Uk Gp32 Owners

It's a bit of a long haul but if you can drag yourself to York (60 miles) I can sort you out. J(ohn)

    Analog Control Pads

The PS2 DualShock controller has 'analogue' buttons... supposedly anyway. Perhaps using a similar method they could make an analogue(ish) d-pad that feels like a digital one. Digital d-pads are only really 4 buttons anyway (or in the case of the GP32 4 microswitches). Replace the 4 buttons under...

    GPchristan?

I started reading this thread from the beginning... then got bored... then got annoyed that I was bored... Anyway I did want to make my point and I apologise if it has already been made in the posts I didn't get to... I think that the general ideas of most orgainised religions are good (be...

    Great British Meet Up 2005

Hmmm... I'm liking this idea! An Easyjet flight to Amsterdam would be cheaper than a train ticket to London. Of course York is very nice this time of the year too... J(ohn)

Is Anyone Still Working On Lynx Emulation?

I know I've said this in another thread... but has anyone ever taken a Lynx II apart? The Lynx I was huge but thinner than the Lynx II. When my first Lynx II's membrane died I took it apart and it's laughable the amount of empty space in the thing. It could quite easily have been about half the...

    Next Gen Consoles

The sad thing is that it's pretty certain that two of the next gen consoles will be dominant and the others will suffer from lack of support. It's a simple case of economics - games are hugely expensive to develop these days and with that kind of investment you need to guarantee the largest...

    Just Had To Post This.......

It seems a hell of a lot of effort to go to only to find: i) No-one in their right mind will pay £800 for it ii) You've painted it the wrong colour J(ohn)

    Gp32 Help - Problem - Please...

I think I usually (using Pacrom) go into link mode on my GP32, then plug in the USB cable, then run GP Manager on my PC. Otherwise it doesn't see that I've plugged the USB in... or something... Try that order and see what happens. J(ohn)

    Next Gen Consoles

It strikes me that Nintendo have always been at their most creative when they have been pushing what the technology can do. The problem now seems to be that the technology for a standard console (ie no fancy add-ons) is beyond their capabilities to innovate so they churn out old titles but with...

    What Does Ur Name

Sad and not very interesting wind-up of a friend... When a friend first got an email account (7 years ago) he always signed his name 'K'. I started replying J(ohn) to wind him up. 7 years on and it's so ingrained that when typing John I have to type J(ohn) and go back to delete the brackets...

    Overclocking???

    1) The GP32's cpu is only really supposed to be run at up to 133mhz. However, most units will go higher than that - this is what's known as overclocking. The speed that the cpu runs at is set by the game/emulator that you are running. Many emulators allow you to choose the cpu speed with higher...

    What Does Ur Name

I was in Hull last night (first time)! Strangely the roads are very badly signposted on the way in, but excellently signposted on the way out - I almost expected one to say "A1079 - Not Hull". BTW... When it comes to being JohnCross I'm rated 85th (according to Hotmail). J(ohn)

    Snes

code3, how far have you tried overclocking your standard '133' GP32? Most seem to handle 156mhz and many go higher, so that could well answer your question for you. Try running Snes9XGP at higher clock speeds and seeing what happens - at worst your GP32 will reset. J(ohn)

Anyone Here Own A Psp Already?

Could you not put two runners inside the slip cover which are aligned above and below where the screen will go? That way you avoid scratches without having to fiddle with the PSP itself. J(ohn)

Excuse my stupidity here... If the manual says that the PSP can play region '1' and region 'all' then perhaps Sony have built in the facility *just in case*? Perhaps the idea is that virtually all games will be published as region 'all' BUT in the event that for some strange reason a games...

    Gameboy (colour) Emulators.

I don't think I've ever had any problems with fGB32 other than it's sometimes unpredictable speed. I certainly wouldn't be totally put off using it without trying it first. J(ohn)
