I think it's a good idea but for some reason the folks over on Dingoonity want to start up their own repo for the Zero. Adding the Zero won't hurt anything and who knows if they ever do get their repo up and running. I say add it so there's at least another option, I really hate searching...
I think it would be nice to see this site updated. It could only help get some more foot traffic back to this place IMO. On the other hand I'd hate to see you spend alot of money on a site that is very slow to say the least. I say do it if it doesn't cost too much.
I didn't realize that BAFelton set up the GCW forums that way. He has some personal issues going on so he hasn't been around in a while. I'll ask him about it when he comes back but I'm of the opinion that sometimes less is more. Too many subforums just makes things seem cluttered IMO.
Hey Hooka, sorry that this is off topic but do you have any GP32/GP2X homebrew that you'd consider obscure? Anything that you won't find on the archive?
I think you should release it and let the users decide to use it or not. You should probably include a warning screen or readme stating that the program is used at their own risk and that you claim no responsibility for misuse or general dumbassery!
I'm thinking about adding a separate forum for retro gaming. Someplace to talk about specific games and consoles but nothing after the 64bit era. Opinions?
Most of those already have forums. IMO you don't need more than one Atari forum, for example, to cover all the Atari emus. Others will be added as builds for them become official.
It runs but I can't actually start a game. I think it has something to do with not being able to assign the buttons. When I try it only recognizes the X and B buttons. It won't let you set the A or Y or the shoulder buttons for some reason.
That would be a great thing to have for us Wiz users. I know there's been a few threads started over the years about this happening to users. If you can pull it off that would be awsome even just as an insurance policy in case it does happen at some point to people.
I have an app for my G-Nex that supposedly rids burn-in by using colored static or scrolling black and white bars. Is there any way this can be replicated on the Wiz screen? I'm guessing someone would have to write a program specifically for this.
While your at it, can you hunt down two? ;) Seriously though, when you make your cable can you post where you sourced the parts and a short how-to? I'd like to have one of these around just in case I ever need it.
Thanks so much notaz! Sound seems fine in every game i've tried so far. Is there any way to apply those nice filters to the Caanoo version? I see they use neon so i'm guessing not.
Watch out there Hooka, your risking not having a complete collection with mistakes like that! ;)
Looking forward to seeing what else you put up on the Zodiac archive, I uploaded everything I had which unfortunately wasn't that much.
Wow, those filters look really nice!
I'll ask on behalf of the Wiz/Caanoo users, could you do a build for for the GPH handhelds? The current version of gpSP on the Caanoo isn't that great, especially the sound issues.
