    A Message Of Support

Nice to see a positive thread, and I agree with the sentiment. But I can't support the forum equivalent of chain-letter spam.

    New Vid From Ed

It's not so much the ghosting itself that is a problem on the PSP-1000 screen, it's the way it ghosts. It's really more a color-bleeding problem than just a slow refresh time. This video shows it fairly dramatically. Most of the screen looks okay, but the black windows bleed all over the place...

(Menu) Graphics And Music Wanted For Panjoust!

I haven't got a heck of a lot of free time these days, but I'll have a go at knocking up some sprites for you; or at least some concepts someone else could finish off.

    A Paint App Port Request

Ooh, that looks pretty nice. Thanks for pointing it out, I'm interested to try it out on my PC too.

    Touch Screen Test Request

As I just commented in another thread, I'd be more interested in seeing a demo/test of pen pressure detection. We know basic pressure detection is possible on resistive screens, and it looks like it's already confirmed on the Pandora hardware (according to the FAQ, anyway). I'd like to see a...

    A Paint App Port Request

I imagine a port would be quite possible from the Zaurus sources. There's already a full build of the Gimp running on Pandora which is much more capable than PP (though its interface is far from optimised for the small screen size), so you won't be short of a decent graphics program. I'm...

    Appstore Security

Bingo. At checkout, you select your payment method (credit card/payment gateway, paypal, store credit), and each has its own confirmation. OP shouldn't store details for other payment methods for their own legal safety, so users should re-enter those details each time anyway. For credit card...

    Pinball Emulation Possible?

Emilia Pinball is native Linux, and has its own table editor. Hasn't been updated for some years though. If someone wanted to resurrect it in order to port to Pandora, I'm sure some in the linux community would appreciate it too...

Am I The Only One? (Please Read Before Voting)

    As stated previously -- numeric order based on number of lines/edges. O = 1 (ok) X = 2 (cancel) Δ = 3 [] = 4

    Content Ratings

Violence, Coarse Language, Adult Themes :) Just out of curiosity, if there is an enforced dev-assigned game categorisation system, will you also abuse that and post puzzle games under RPGs and text adventures under first person shooters?

    Content Ratings

I definitely wouldn't impose a blanket ratings system on the app store, for all the reasons stated previously. If it's a store-supplied rating, the store is responsible for the accuracy of that rating. However, I wouldn't oppose some form of structured "content descriptor". When someone lists...

Is Anyone Planning To Port Blendder To The Pandora

Well if it's running on the N900 already, I guess 90% or the work's probably already done, so... cool. I think I've mentioned before, a friend was running Blender on his 7" EeePC for a while. Same resolution display as the Pandora (but bigger), similar processing power, and he found it pretty...

    Toms Hardware Article

I think it would be a pretty kick-ass video, actually :) Film it outside, maybe sitting on a nice scenic hill somewhere, starting late morning (with a clock in the corner). Play straight through, tag-teaming as necessary; maybe watch a (CC-licensed) movie while everyone eats some pizza for...

    Nintendo Sixty Fooooooooooooooooooour!

If this is in fact a problem worth solving (and I'm not really sure it is, to be honest), there's a pretty straightforward workaround. The N64 only has one analog stick, but the Pandora has two. Map the second nub to the same input, but with a divisor, so that full motion on nub 2 corresponds...

    Screen Protectors

I might be wrong, but I don't think that's a screen protector intended for general use; going by the bubbles around the edge, it looks like it's just a protective film to make sure the screen doesn't get scratched during shipping. You wouldn't want that stuck under a bezel, it probably wouldn't...

    Nub As Mouse.

Sorry, no way. Even if the nubs had enough sensitivity to represent every pixel on the screen (ie, at least ±400), and no dead zone in the centre, there's still only 2mm of travel; trying to pinpoint anywhere on the screen would be a nightmare.

    Os? Languages? Places?

In that case, you'll have to alter the poll. It requires an answer for question 2, even if we don't speak a second language. So you'll have to change it to say either: "Which languages do you speak (including your first language)" or add an extra option of "I don't speak a second language"

Official Blog Post - Out Of Nowhere

I suspect someone's been fiddling with the map. I was listed, but I was floating about in the middle of Europe instead of Australia, for some reason. If you've added yourself previously, it's probably worth double-checking your location is still correct (if you care, that is).
