I'll admit I may have been a bit out of line, but if you're gonna insult someone, you shouldn't make yourself look stupid in the process.
(But if you know what an anagram is, I must not. I fail to see how I can rearrange the characters in "midna25" to produce the word "arse". I was gonna point...
You aren't having a very good experience on this forum.
Okay. Just forget everything that has been said in this thread. Forget the people trying to convince you command line is the future. Just hear this.
The Pandora has a great GUI. It's full of buttons ready to be double clicked. It's REALLY...
A one minute search of the file archive is an "obstruction"?
And I take it that these complaints have all been coming from users of "da r4". The average R4 user is a 10 year olds who weren't even aware they'd have to download anything to be able to use their hardware. The Pandora is in a...
We aren't opposed to making the Pandora user friendly. We're opposed to people who are so lazy that they think there should be a link on the desktop to copyrighted video codecs, so we don't have to download it off the file archive.
Didn't you already make this thread? And didn't we tell you clearly that the Pandora has a nice, intuitive, n00b friendly graphical interface that will require no special knowledge to use? Trust me there's nothing to worry about. It's just like operating your desktop computer.
1st reply:
Yeah. Sure. That would work. How about we also do this. Have a shortcut on the desktop that leads to download links for tons of warez and roms. We wouldn't be including them, so it wouldn't count, right. Right?
2nd reply:

So it makes you an elitist to spend one minute browsing...
Okay. I'll resist the overpowering urge to pwn a n00b here (The OP) but instead I'll explain.
Emulation is a very complicated thing to do. Especially with the more complex machines like the Gamecube. The magic rule of emulation is if The machine your running is not about 7 times more powerful...
I realised that a while ago. Some users were talking about weather the Pandora project would stay alive. One said something like "If the whole thing goes down after the first batch, there'll only be a couple thousand lucky Pandora users in the whole world."
But then I got to thinking... No...
Oh noz!!! You will have to download your media player from "de Web"!!! A travesty! Oh, the humanity! I'd better cancel my order right now! I might actually have to browse the Pandora file archive for 1 minute before I can do what I want...
The average newb who comes on here is not going to know the difference between a Linux Distro and GIU. I've talked with people on irc about this. They were confused. I tried explaining what a NAND is to someone asking for help about wii hacking. No clue. I was trying to simplify, but whatever...
That's more of what I was thinking.
And the wii thing there was just an example to show that it could be done on a basic level with little effort. And I did say "an open source engine like Doom"That's the one that came to mind because of the Wii level mod. It definitely doesn't have to be doom...
There won't be a CD. It would be more hassle then it's worth. Mostly because the Pandora doesn't have a CD drive so you'd need to go and copy all the files through your computer. Also, the Pandora's hard drive'll be stocked with all the essentials already. The rest is up to personal preference...
I loved Goldeneye. A lot of people did. And one thing I would just love to see a a portable version of it for Pandora. Now I know making a complete game like this from scratch would be extremely hard, but I was thinking we could get a mod of an open source engine like Doom going with the...
