Ahh, I thought 'date' was me setting the hardware clock. It's been fine though so until it fecks up..
Thanks for the tip :)
*edit* and the long press 'bug' is cured by left clicking using the right nub.
I was merely going to do what anyone in my position would do. If you sent back a PC to PC World for repair and they didn't return it you would go to the shop, yes?
Can't beat a bit of forum drama though... ;)
Well, got my RMA'd Pandora back and it's better than I remember.
Been upgraded to the 1002 Rebirth Edition. It clocks to 1050 but becomes unstable when running PCSX-ReARMed. Mupen runs Mario flawlessly though. That said, PCSX runs everything I've thrown at it. 'Team Buddies' never got passed...
Fingers crossed? ;)
I seriously doubt that the Raspberry Pi will be anything other than a resounding success. School IT depts throughout the UK are re-evaluating their curriculum right now. The penny has finally dropped that teaching kids to use Word and Excel is ultimately futile - anyone can...
You're right. Feck the OP team and their wasted time and money. Idiots ;)
Yea. 1000+ unfulfilled pre-orders say you are correct.
Totally. Apple have billions banked on a similar business model.
Two words. raspberry pi. A model of how it should be done.
Android on the Pandora would be...
I feel for the OP team.
They had a brilliant bit of kit back when they were first taking pre-orders but it got absolutely no mainstream media exposure. I contacted the BBC several times via people who I knew, trying to drum up some interest. No one there at the time was interested in anything...
I went up to the Trading Standards office in Motherwell and they have advised me to either wait until production restarts and see if there is any communication about a refund/replacement or go to the Citizens Advice Scotland office in Bellshill and get help with a small claims court hearing...
To be fair, I probably deserved a yellow card - unsportsmanlike behaviour - but I won't contest the sending off.
Craig can keep his £200. I think he needs it more than me. I hope he doesn't lose his house over the project - because it was cracking fun :)
I'll miss my Pandora though. Lovely bit...
hehehe - forum drama eh?
I said, in reply to his comment in the Kim Jong Il thread where he wanted Mugabe dead for Christmas, 'And pricks who waste peoples time and money can GTFO too' or something very similar. As a kind of jibe/joke.
What happened was 2 months ago I requested an update on my...
Just got banned from OpenPandora forums for comparing criag to Kim Jong Il
18 month wait for a console
6 months wait for an RMA
North Korea has nothing on Criagix
Been 6 months now.
Only updates I get are from EvilDragon, who didn't take my money in the first place and who I must be costing money and time.
Thanks ED :)
Thanks for that ED, it is appreciated :)
It's been so long I can only guess. I don't mind the wait - it's being treated as an inconvenience I object to.
PM sent
My Pandora was returned to criag 6 months ago. Broken left nub, PSOD.
I emailed criags team and returned it with the form they sent out.
Only replies I've had are the ones I documented in this thread that basically said you were doing the RMAs.
I will NEVER buy from criag again.
As per usual your reply didn't answer the question.
Is this some sort of 'confuse and complicate' strategy? If so, let me simplify:
Your team suggested ED was doing your RMAs.
All I ask is 'Who is actually fixing broken Pandoras returned to you?'
I understand nothing will be done until...
EvilDragon - are you doing all the RMAs, including craigs?
If so, have you received the necessary paperwork from criag? How would we know?
Totally in the dark about this. Sent mine back to craig ages ago.
Don't mind the wait as long as I've an idea about whats going on...
