I see that too, one space, which to elucidate is on the Pandora two buttons(separate scancodes I think) that have been pressed together without clashes since introduction. Maybe it's as you say one pair tethered mechanically together as one button in unison.
Okay and thanks but it's curious then how the two buttons share "space" communally:

Without opening another can of Borscht about the subject, I have a question for the forum that relates to this. On the Pandora, to my knowledge, the Spacebar is Left Space and Right Space but does this "splitting" in hardware(and software?) exist on all keyboards with a Spacebar?
That's fine. Whatever will be. :)
Wanted to mention, Fn values on Y, G, V, and B could be rotated around a little with ~ to B, \ to Y, | to G, and maybe _ to V.
Second bit is { [ ] } could become { } [ ]. We shall see.
Wanted to keep it consistent with the Pandora where Right Shift is on L1. Due to some concerns mentioned, I thought it "safer" to not have the Right Shifts on opposite extremes to prevent them from simultaneously being pressed(in case this causes some software to implode). A small advantage too...
Here's 5.0.
A few things first:
Symbols € and ° may be removed for dead diacritics if the Acute isn't the only one we'll have. For this, as I've shown previous, I envision ß moves to Fn + L which gives us breathing room to place certain dead keys like Circumflex, Dead Grave, and/or Umlaut...
Misaligned number row is not so nice.
Why not put Esc all the way on top? Much less risk of accidental presses, and should still be quite easy to reach...
[/SPOILER]Why not put Escape up top you ask? It's because it'd be all the way up top, far removed from the other keys. Has it's good and...
I appreciate your input here but I have doubts about your blanket assumption. In v4.0a, the Escape key is placed as far as possible to the left border, out of the way, and the Tab key is in the same location as yours confidently is placed in your last updated layout.
I'm flexible though and...
Next step would of been an orange jumpsuit delivered to your cubicle with some numbers on it. :)
Years ago my brother worked in a busy, rather large office where management ruled only certain times of the day people could go for a bathroom break. This didn't last long, but the measures people...
Inventive and evolutionary, or crazy. :)
True, this is always a worry with Escape. If only we knew it could be up in the rafters where you have it in your layouts. As far to the left edge as we can go will have to do in this waiting moment, till we know. :)
Thanks B-ZaR.
Here's two WIP layouts. One is with a solitary keyboard Shift and the other with two of them.
v4.0a(one keyboard Shift)

v4.0b(dual keyboard Shifts)

I was under the impression two physically different keys had two different scan?/keycodes and may, as in the case of two Right Shift keys, carry the same assignable keysym(both Right Shift). Kind of like two houses(L1 and whatever a keyboard's Right Shift key location is) in the same...
