After reading I see it has a touch pad as a replacement for analog controls which isn't the same feel etc.
My pandora is far from perfect. (I bought one of the pandoras with both nubs broken) Still, the pros out-weigh the cons and I'm generally happy with the device. I'll look forward to pandora two also.
Any one concerned with this topic should remember:
All these units have a warranty.
For pandora 1 this is a bad idea... Also don't forget we've hardly done any overclocking of pandora yet, we are still using the voltage meant for 500MHz.
Your own imagination...
PS2 will never happen on pandora. Dreamcast is a stretch. Basically look through apple's app store to see what its capable of; it not likely we will see games like that here. Quake 3 mods and a few others should be the most taxing on gpu yet still playable.
Will it be possible to pack gp2x games as pnds? Can I run something like "ginge game.gpe" directly?
Edit... also is it possible to change key layout on per-program basis if it is inside pnd?
I voted Dflemstr because of all the work that he has done without a pandora or similar dev-board. Pandorama would be the most effective and pretty UI for the pandora IMO.
My pandora has a better signal/range then my couple laptops or itouch. Websites load fine and fast but for some reason, I cannot download files larger then a MB or two. The download always fails. Anyone else experience this?
The program and settings for encode are important too... I've watched 2hr, stereo, 720p movies in a 600mb file. The quality is very tolerable for movies that aren't action intense.
Quality has far more to do with bitrate and the desired file size then file format. DVDs are fairly low quality nowadays so you can keep original pixel dimensions. Also don't forget to encode for stereo rather then 5.1 surround sound; that will save some space.
Try a store like Radioshack (if there isn't one in the Netherlands) and buy a new 90 degree 3.5mm connector and do what iampanis said :) That way if it breaks it is an easy repair. My guitar cords last practically forever doing this.
