    Gamepark Named Newgp32 Xgp ?

When I bought my GP32, I underestimated the importance of good commercial games. It's great for homebrew, but I missed having a GBA for games like NFS and SEGA games. So this time I'll only buy the new one if it got good 3D commercial games. Apart from that it doesn't have to be very different...

    Gamepark Named Newgp32 Xgp ?

What is known about the new GP32? Specs, release data, game support? First: the name newgp32 makes this sound like a fake news, because it's a bad choice, abviously. I would like to buy games for my GP32 and I even bought 4 or 5 items. But there are no games. I would at least expect a 3D game...

    Gbax2005 Review (all Submissions)

That's unlikely to happen that way. I could speed up the gameplay without having to increase the framerate. It runs smooth. I'm quite happy about the frequency of 50 MHz.

    Gbax2005 Review (all Submissions)

Sounds like not all files are installed. If a file is missing it's not reported, I think. I installed both FPK versions several times and it worked fine. The cartreader stuff should be the same. Could you please look which files are in your gpmm/WSEins folder? That would help me a lot to find...

    Gbax2005 Review (all Submissions)

About WinterSports Eins: The slow alpha blending version as well as it's overclocked binaries are just some bonus candy. The recommended colorkey version runs at 50 MHz and won't drain your batteries. You see, I could easily speed it up by just increasing the CPU frequency.

    Gbax2005 Review (all Submissions)

Thanks for the hint! I'll try it, from the first glance it's a fenix game. Of course I did a search for already existing clones, but didn't find anyone. Anyways, my project started as a SEGA Saturn game and uses the hardware graphics chips on this architecture. Later it's been expanded to SDL...

    Gbax2005 Review (all Submissions)

Thanks for the review and the translation, too. I finally had the chance to play most of the other entries (found my cable). In my opinion it's almost too much new GP32 games. This can make people quickly jump from one game to another, without getting into any of them. It's just like the...

    Gbax 2005 Reactions & Reflections

Take a look at this page, most GP32 entries of GBAX are rated there: http://gp32.famesoft.ru/ In case you fail translating it with babelfish(like me :D )... Here a translation of the rating: graphics sound gameplay/playability interest realization whole score I would like to know the other...

    GP32 List Of Developers

You could add me, too :) . I did the GP32 version of WinterSports Eins which is an entry of the GBAX 2005. Last year I experimented a little bit with porting my Voxel rendering framework to GP32. Like WinterSports Eins, this voxel stuff runs on SEGA Saturn, Windows and MacOS X, too. But still...

    Gbax 2005 Reactions & Reflections

New cartreader download of WinterSports Eins for GP32. Oh, sorry. I wasn't aware that so many people use a cartreader. It's never been an option for me. So here are new downloads containing plain files for installing with a cartreader: Note: both versions can be installed simultaneously Your...

I thought FPK installer are the easiest... You can install this with maclink on MacOS X and official PC link on Windows. What the hell of an OS are you running?

    Gbax 2005 Reactions & Reflections

edit start: I don't want the only feedback to my game saying it does crash, when it does not. The GBAX archive contains different versions together. Install WSEinsC.fpk or/and WSEinsA.fpk. If you got a overclockable GP32, you can add WS1A_156.fxe or/and WS1A_166.fxe to the WSEinsA.fpk...

    Gbax 2005

I can imagine a very simple reason for the delay, even if it were only 20 entries. But I won't say, hehe. ;)

    Gbax 2005

The GBAX rules don't allow a release before they judged and released everything. I read this in the last second before clicking the upload button :D . But some info should be OK:

    Gbax 2005

Well, all I know for sure is that a funny gp32_console game from me will be included :D . But the mass of submissions and the quality of those will make it hard to win anything.

    GP32 Trouble With Sdl

From my experience the by far best option for full screen backgrounds is - SDL_SetVideoMode with 16 bpp - and paletted/indexed bmp images, converted from RGB to indexed with mode "positioned"(not Floyd-Steinberg) (refers to The Gimp) -> smaller size, faster loading -> fine display
