Not sure what might have been the problem but after a few generous helping hands from the community, most of the issues I experienced have been solved. The ScummVM issue lead me to try and find a new source, it seemed like no one ever complained about the Version A Full Throttle so I sought that...
I find that some PSx games run better on one emulator and not so much in the other, so your best bet is to keep both on your card and switch to the one that plays the game you want to play best. Also some games require more over clocking than others, for instance some 2d games work fine at...
Actually I just looked at my ScummVM again and it actually says I have version B/english, could that be a factor? I did a quick check and as far as I can tell the only difference is that Version A is supposed to be newer.
I dont get why GnGeo is working for some people. As far as I know I have the same PND as everyone else, but mine takes a full 15 minutes to start up and wont detect any of my roms, and takes another 5 to 10 minutes to move through directories.
Didn't work in minimenu either, jumped right back after hitting start.
In file manager my full throttle folder reads:
size: 166 items, totaling 477.7 MB
Looks like my Kickstart was screwed up somehow. It's working now, although it still does that Nub swapping thing, is that a known issue still? Also not sure but I get a strang bit of flicker in some games is that something to do with the refresh rate (50hz vs 60hz)?
I wish I could figure these out without asking but after days of scratching my head over these and searching every inch of the internet that I can I'd decided to throw myself at the mercy of the forums for help on this. Everything else I have works fine, I've rarely had any problems with my...
I wouldnt call it the end of music games just because GH is going away. Frankly good riddance because I much prefer Rockband which is still going along just fine. These games are popular because they give people with no musical ability the chance to feel like they're playing music without having...
From an end consumer standpoint:
I look at that mini PC and think "wow it's got so much of what I wanted in the pandora..." Then I see the price and go "except for THAT". I dont mind that it's a windows machine because I know the OS, Win 7 is so much nicer than the crime against humanity that...
I felt like my left nub was busted too at first. Sluggish movement and sometimes struggling to get it to move left. But Craig and ED mentioned something about the nub's auto calibration, and it got me to thinking that maybe I was using them too early. On a normal PC just because the desktop is...
Generally when it asks for one it's a good practice to provide one. You need a Bios file (unzipped) in the appdata folder, as for the rom formats I wonder about that too as it doesnt seem to recognize any of mine even with the bios file.
Unconfirmed that the battery isnt replaceable, it might still be but who knows. But they say roughly comparable to the regular PSP (no distinction in which model) Generally I get about 6 hours or so because I dont feel the need to have it on full blast brightness.
5-8 hours with the 3D turned off, 3-5 with it on. The Region locking likely refers to the same thing they have on the DSi where you can only connect to the DSware store that applies to the region of the device as well as having a menu system written only in one language (I won a DSi from NISA...
I was actually one of the first people to say I didn't want to know my position in line, Jaquelyn told me anyway when I emailed her to confirm my address and change delivery options. So even while trying not to find out I still did. The odd thing is it turned out to be fairly accurate despite...
The gap in the lid is well documented already, I dont think there's a single Pandora that doesnt have that. I've noticed sound not working on several games but assumed it more to be due to still evolving software with slight glitches that still need ironing out (the web browsers being some of...
I promised more impressions but I crapped away most of the day playing OpenBOR and Hu-Go but I had to take this photo because I've been wanting to for months.
Pardon my poor cellphone image quality, my room is apparently too dark for most cameras no matter what I do.
oh and here's a...
Thanks Craig and ED for the super quick response!
I'm willing to say at this point that I feel a lot better about the nubs and don't think there's any problem. I guess I was probably being overly sensitive in making sure it was working properly. How often do the nubs auto-calibrate? is it just...
Yeah a couple of times. I'm going to shut it down and turn it on again and see if there's any change.
EDIT:
Forgot it was still plugged in when I turned it off and it instantly restarted, that seemed to fix it... though while rotating it it started to feel a little sluggish again in...
