The PS Vita has a great screen for Amiga emulation: 960x544 pixels.
(With overscan and doubled lines you need even more height than 512 to see everything.)
Maybe that screen would be suitable for Pandora 2...
Yes, but it shouldn't be too bad.
You can also setup the harddisk in UAE4All if you have the 6 Workbench 3.1 disks in ADF-format. It'll just take a bit longer than in WinUAE I think.
Yes I think simply copying works.
Btw., installed a ClassicWB Lite yesterday and now everything's well readable (just not pretty).
Lite also...
New version up now:
http://repo.openpand...ail&app=uae4all
Changes:
- fixed loading HDFs and HD-directories
- added button-combinations [L]+Q and [R]+Q for leaving WHDLoad-games and returning to Workbench (Amiga key PrtScr/Numpad multiply)
- moved floppy speed-setting to "more...
Yep. And I suggest you don't use a Picasso Workbench setup. This is the reason everything is hard to read for me in uae4all because my HDF is using a ClassicWB setup made for 800x600 and higher resolutions.
With a FULL or LITE ClassicWB install (which is ideal for 640x256 resolutions)...
OnEscapee is a CD game without a WHDLoad-install. But I've read it can be installed to HD. If the CD isn't needed for playing one could install the game using WinUAE to HD and then load this HD installed version in UAE4All.
Superfrog and Stunt Car Racer TNT always worked flawlessly in UAE4All...
When incorporating AnotherGuest's sources I forgot to add the call to "resetHdConf()" when resetting the Amiga in the gui ([R]-trigger).
Now added this and loading HDF + HD-dir works!
Had to click in Workbench through Drawer->Games->B->BattleSquadron->BattleSquadron (the extra WHDLoad-menu...
Yeah but PSPUAE didn't support WHDLoad at all. You can't load WHDLoad games without booting Workbench.
But you can create a high density ADF with WHDLoad and a WHDLoad game and then load this on an emulated A1200 (don't know how to create such an ADF though).
Managed to load the HDF I use in WinUAE. Tbh the fonts look terrible because of lores. It's best if you already know what's what because some texts become almost indecipherable.
When clicking on Run->WHDLoad a msgbox appears "Insert volume 'LAUNCH'".
When clicking on Drawers->Games the...
The emu displays hires gfx - just shrunk down into lores...
In the future I'll try to improve the emu so that it'll use 640x*** resolutions instead of 320x*** as it does now (still for most games lores is fine).
Well, I couldn't successfully boot a HD yet. Tried the one I've used in the past in WinUAE but it just went to the Amiga DOS screen.
So there might still be a bug.
The HDF also being "inserted" into DF0: is a tiny bug in the code - you can just replace it with an ADF. What's displayed in the...
Only 1 active floppy drive, "fast" sound and:
A500: 68000, OCS, KS 1.3, 1MB chip-ram, no slow-&fast-ram (although 0.5MB chip- and 0.5MB slow-ram would be more correct I think)
A1200: 68020, AGA, KS 3.1, 2MB chip- and fast-ram, no slow-ram
I meant the sound hickups every half second (for all games) - this is fixed.
Of course there may be other sound issues in some games.
edit: Rick Dangerous II plays without sound issues here both with A500- and A1200-settings.
While trying to fix the flashing screen bug few days ago I activated the macro NO_THREADS (which didn't help fix the issue):
I forgot to disable it again. After inspecting the src file custom.cpp for 4 hours today without any success I remembered this and disabled NO_THREADS: now the "48fps...
