It's involving fooling the memory controller by quick 50/60Hz display changes as I remember. Will be quite hard to implement probably. And some things like the LethalXcess will be even harder to make run:

It was so awesome in its times even on the...
Mine on a table just near me as I sit. :)
Agony and Lionheart.
For ST Lethal Excess and Enchanted Land. Both technically crazy as hell
(extended resolutions, digital effects in a game using that pesky Yamaha chip, sync-scrolling, tons of sprites on blitter less machine...)
It's very good...
I know as I once had been an avid gamer myself. I'm for all that responsible too. But at one moment I just got enough of it. In other words I got exhausted because of this constant strugle with hardware/software upgrades.
(and how many FPS games you can really play and don't have enough?)
And...
You aren't serious, are you? ;)
Basically Amiga allowed to have mod music in game and not only
in games' menus like in ST.
It could have more colors at once and better scrolling.
(it will depends on a title to what degree)
Many games are very close on both machines. There are
some others...
Well... if the stock stick would be alright then it might be an issue.
But look at this old thread.
The intermediate diagonals are tiny - it can be easily showed using joytest app. It's very hard to hit one of these "extra" 8 direction of the stock stick.
Most aplications are expecting just...
The lander upgrades are most important as some of very rich planets are very dangerous. You will really need all those shields what can be bought from Melnorrm.
For the rest I will not spoil. :)
It's one of the best games ever made.
The stock stick has 8 switches and therefore it can give 16 directions. But it's discrete so it's not so analog anyway (and there are some issues with those "16" direction - they aren't equal in sizes). To make a longer answer to be short... there is a chip what is handling it all for providing...
Those 7000 units were some time ago. Any data how many sold now? It'd like to advocate the GP2x as much as I could. :)
Any more info until I will get it myself? It'd be quite interesting for me for a simple reason that I'm living in Poland too.
The converter PCB will have to be changed to accommodate different position of stick's pins. The rest can stay the same.
I will do it as I should have the Mk2 in my hands soon.
As now? Then it'd be much better argument then the one I was using before.
(about GP32 what sold in 30,000 total)
So I will try again - hopefully with some results this time.
The real problem there isn't any bigger commercial relase now, is it?
So for a potential developer GP2x might be...
t
In a perfect situation there should be offered premodded front panels with fixed type mounting for dpad element.
(hopefully it will end just like that - I can not get to GPH directly but I have a contact with very capable person)
I will admit that my mechanic working capabilities are...
Good job! And it's great they replied!
Anyone know how many GP2x sold as now?
It'd be a good argument when emailing developers. I once (at the beggining) was bugging some companies but without results.
I'd love to have 3DRealms Balls of Steel and housemarque The Reap ports for the GP2x.
And...
There are some apps what are using vectors for all their GUIs. Mackie Traction and Ableton Live are very good examples of such vector GUIs. Suprisingly they don't need Vista massive requirements for that. And they are drawing everything using just a CPU. How it can be, how?
I know...
Could you say about it more? The GP2x is still working after the fade?
In "MKI" the backlight is made of six white leds connected serially. They are driven by around 18V. Perhaps the new screen has some other backlight led configuration and different voltage requirement.
Welcome aboard and the GP32x community is special indeed.
It's nice to have new person with roots in 8-bit microcomputers era.
("number" of years were since then? :) )
I'm still enjoying some 8-bit games thought from Atari800.
I don't play PC games now because of that copyprotection crap. Just to play a game I would have to install something what can be called a rootkit??!
No, just not acceptable for me.
Yeah - typical ignorance or hunting for news no matter how they are valid I guess.
And with quantum computer adding every q-bit should double its power.
Well... perhaps if more of those blue making things would be eaten in a larger amount then not only a tongue could get blue?
You could try that - think about a self sacrifice in the name of science. And the fame...
